About Mel's Wellness
My Story
My career in wellness spans 20+ years of Massage therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, and Holistic health. I have worked in medical, chiropractic, and spa settings, and as a massage therapy instructor. I specialize in plantar fasciitis, sciatica, lymphatic drainage and frozen shoulder. I believe that massage does NOT have to hurt to be effective! Focusing on your sense of comfort, I incorporate multiple techniques with a firm touch to ‘melt’ tissue layer by layer, to alleviate pain and bring relief to chronic discomfort issues, rather than use excessive pressure (which is often counterproductive). My goal is to assess the individual needs of each client to provide a tailored session for anything from simple relaxation and stress reduction, to general wellness and focused clinical treatments. I strive to have a positive impact on each client’s health and support them in their journey of wellness. With massage as a key element of the treatment process, along with education on providing self-care, I can assist clients in reaching their wellness goals.
